Getting Started with BookingItNow

BookingItNow connects your Shopify store to your scheduling software. When a customer buys a service, BookingItNow automatically handles the booking — sending them exactly what they need without any manual follow-up on your end.

How it works

1. You install BookingItNow and connect your scheduling platform (Jobber, Calendly, or Cal.com)
2. You link your services to Shopify products
3. A customer buys a service product in your store
4. Their order is fulfilled
5. BookingItNow takes over — sending a booking link or submitting a service request automatically
6. The customer receives a confirmation email with everything they need

Before you install

Make sure you have:

• A Shopify store with at least one product representing a service
• An account with one of the supported scheduling platforms:
• Jobber — for field service and trades businesses
• Calendly — for appointment-based businesses
• Cal.com — for appointment-based businesses (open source alternative)

Installing the app

1. Find BookingItNow in the Shopify App Store
2. Click Add app
3. Review the permissions and click Install
4. You'll be taken to the BookingItNow dashboard inside your Shopify admin

First steps after installing

Once installed, the dashboard will guide you through three steps:

Step 1 — Connect your scheduling platform Click Connect next to your provider (Jobber, Calendly, or Cal.com). You'll be taken through a quick authorization flow and brought back to BookingItNow.

Step 2 — Sync your services After connecting, your event types or work types sync automatically. You'll see them listed under Services.

Step 3 — Link a service to a product Open a service, click Link Shopify product, and search for the product you want to pair it with. When that product is purchased and fulfilled, BookingItNow kicks in.

What happens next

Once a linked product is fulfilled:

• Jobber (API-driven): A request, job, or assessment is created in Jobber automatically. Your customer receives a confirmation email.
• Jobber (Client Hub): Your customer receives an email with a link to your Jobber Client Hub to submit their request.
• Calendly / Cal.com: Your customer receives a personalized booking link pre-filled with their name and email. They just pick a time.
